Who we are
Everything you read on our home page comes from a small editorial team. Between us we’ve spent years around online gaming, payment systems and writing about both. Nobody on the team is paid by a casino or by Galaxsys, which keeps things simple. Our job is to explain how things work and leave the decision to you. The site itself is run by Northcrest Media Ltd, a company registered on Athol Street in Douglas, Isle of Man.
One thing worth saying clearly, though. This isn’t a casino. You can’t place a bet here, we never touch your money and there’s no player account to log into. If you decide to play for real, that happens on the casino’s site, under the casino’s rules.
Our team
Before anything is published, at least two of us have looked at it. Here’s roughly how the work is split.
- Game analyst. If anyone on the team has watched the crane drop a few thousand floors, it’s this person. They play the demo, play for real at casinos that list the game, and keep notes on things like how often a bonus floor shows up. They also check whether cashing out feels as quick on a phone as it does on a laptop.
- Casino and payments reviewer. Less glamorous work, but it matters most once money is involved. The first question is always whether a casino accepts players from Canada at all. After that come the practical bits, like keeping your balance in C$, using Interac e-Transfer for withdrawals as well as deposits, and what the cashier and terms say once you read past the headline bonus.
- Editor and fact-checker. Goes through every number on a page and holds it up against the provider’s game info and the casino’s own terms. If two sources disagree, the page waits.
- Responsible gambling reviewer. Reads our pages with one question in mind. Are we being straight about the risk? This person also keeps our list of support services current, so it’s useful wherever you live in Canada.
How we review the game
We always start in demo mode. It plays by the same rules as the real-money version, which makes it the cheapest way to see how fast the multiplier climbs, how often the tower comes down and what the Frozen, Temple and Triple Build floors really do to a round.
Return to player is where we slow down. The figure isn’t fixed for this title, and two casinos can run it at slightly different settings. That’s why we give a range rather than one number and suggest checking the value in the game’s info panel before you play. The provably fair tool gets a look too, since it lets anyone confirm the result of a round once it’s over.
How we review casinos
No casino makes it onto the site until we’ve gone through a short checklist built around what Canadian players care about.
- Its licence, and whether the regulator’s register actually confirms it.
- C$ support and Interac, since that’s how most Canadians move money online.
- The bonus fine print, wagering and maximum bet included.
- How much you can withdraw and how long a payout is supposed to take.
- Whether you can set limits, take a break or close your account for a while.
Yes, we may earn a commission if you sign up through one of our links. It doesn’t buy a place on the site, and it doesn’t change what we write about a casino.
What you will not find here
No promises of wins and no “system” for beating the game. Each round is random, and nothing you or we do changes that. We also don’t write for minors.
Keeping things current
Bonuses, limits and game settings shift all the time. A casino might rewrite its terms overnight, drop the game from its lobby or swap a payment method, and when we notice, the page gets updated. Readers catch things too, so if something here looks out of date, drop us a line.
